Counselling

The Central Coast Community Women's Health Centre provides short-term counselling & support by trained counsellors. They draw upon a variety of counselling and therapeutic approaches that have proven to be useful in assisting women to better understand their experiences and help move them towards resolution and healing.







Some of the counselling issues for women may include:

• Self Esteem
• Domestic Violence
• Verbal Abuse
• Relationships
• Sexuality and Intimacy
• Anxiety
• Surviving past abuse
• Anger and Conflict

Doctors Clinics

This is a part time service with Family Planning trained doctors and a women's health nurse in attendance on Monday.

Clinic

Held on Mondays - Tuesdays - Wednesday - Thursdays - Fridays.

We provide information and education on all women's health issues.

Services provided include:

• Pap smears, breast checks, contraception
• Mirena IUD insertions & diaphragm fittings
• Menstruation & premenstrual syndrome problems
• Peri-menopause & menopause advice
• Treatment of gynaecological problems
• Antenatal shared-care & postnatal check-ups
• Pregnancy testing and counselling
• Testing for sexually transmitted Infections & safe sex sdvice
• Pelvic floor education for stress incontinence
• Management of breast disease

Childcare is available to compliment some clinic appointments. Booking Essential.

Pelvic Floor Chair Clinic

The Neo Control Chair creates a therapeutic pulsed magnetic field producing stimulation to the pelvic floor.
This helps reduce stress incontinence and prolapse problems. All consultations and pelvic floor chair sessions are bulk billed.

Alternative Therapists

The qualified Alternative Therapists are able to provide the service at a low cost to you.

The therapies on offer are:

• General Massage
• Shiatsu & Remedial Massage

All Therapists are fully trained in their field. The fees will be kept at a low cost at $40 per session.
 

Childcare

The Women's Health Centre has qualified childcare and excellent facilities for children 0-5 years. The little childcare house is located at the back of the main building and provides a safe caring and stimulating environment for the children and their mothers.
