Clinic

Northern Sydney Central Coast Health: Women’s Health Service holds a clinic at Peninsula WHC on a Wednesday, THREE TIMES A MONTH.
 
Services available: 

  • Paps smears
  • Pregnancy testing and information
  • Counselling on Menopause
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Contraception, PMT Sexual difficulties

      Services at this clinic are free and confidential. Appointments are essential, and can be booked through NSCCH; Women’s Health. Phone: 4320 3741

      As we are a women’s health centre we ask that if your male partner/friend brings you to PWHC that they wait off the premises unless you particularly want them to attend the appointment with you. We apologise for any inconvenience.

      PWHC Counselling

      At The Peninsula Women’s Health Centre, our trained counsellor provides short-term counselling & support by drawing upon a variety of counselling and therapeutic approaches proven to be useful in assisting women. Our counsellor is available for appointments on Wednesdays, please call the centre on 43 425905 if you would like to make an appointment.

      Some of the counselling issues for women may include:

      • Self Esteem
      • Domestic Violence (includes verbal, financial, emotional, etc.)
      • Anxiety
      • Relationships
      • Women's issues
      • Surviving Past abuse
      • Anger and Conflict 

      Coastcare Counselling

      Coast Care Counselling is a group of counsellors who provide counselling services in a range of community centres on the Central Coast. The service has been in operation since 1993 with two goals; to provide affordable counselling to the community and to make counselling readily accessible to those in need.

      Coast Care Counselling operates from the Peninsula Women’s Health Centre on a Thursday, appointments are necessary and can be made by contacting the Centre on 43 42 5905.

      Alternative Therapists

      The Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre is committed to providing a low cost quality holistic care service. We have therefore leased rooms at our Centres, at certain times, to qualified Alternative Therapist’s at a minimal charge so that they can provide a low cost service to you. The Therapists have signed a Contract with the CCWHC and are responsible for their own bookings, cancellations and collection and receipting of fees. APPOINTMENTS must be made with the therapist. FEES charged will be kept at a low cost of $40 per session. A session is 45-50 minutes duration. Please check with your health fund to see if you are eligible for a rebate.

      VOUCHERS are available to CCCWHC clients and may entitle women to a fully subsidised session. Please speak to the Community Development Worker or Health Worker/Counsellor at Peninsula Women’s Health Centre to see if you are eligible.
