Alternative Therapists

Always Check With The Therapist,  About Her Current Times.

The Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre is committed to providing a low cost quality holistic care service. We have therefore leased rooms at our Centres, at certain times, to qualified Alternative Therapist’s at a minimal charge so that they can provide a low cost service to you.

The Therapists have signed a Contract with the CCWHC and are responsible for their own bookings, cancellations and collection and receipting of fees. APPOINTMENTS must be made with the therapist. FEES charged will be kept at a low cost of $40 per session. A session is 45-50 minutes duration. Please check with your health fund to see if you are eligible for a rebate.

VOUCHERS are available to CCCWHC clients and may entitle clients to fully subsidised session. Please speak to the Community Development or Health Development Worker at Peninsula and Northern Women’s Health Centre. Or a health worker/counsellor or doctor at Wyoming Women’s Health Centre to see if you are eligible.

Massage Therapy - With Yvonne Jones

Teacher in Shiatsu & Swedish massage, Shiatsu & Remedial massage practitioner, DRM; Dip. Zen Shiatsu, Dip.Theory & practice ofImage of Back Massage Shiatsu, BA (VA).ATMS accredited.

Yvonne has 17 years experience as a massage practitioner – working in both Sydney & London. She has taught Shiatsu and Swedish massage extensively in Sydney & Shiatsu at the Central Coast Community College. She also runs a small practice from home.

At the Women's Health Centre Yvonne is offering both Shiatsu & Remedial massage.

Shiatsu is Japanese for “finger pressure" but thumb, elbow, and knee or foot pressure is also used.  The client leaves their clothes on & the massage is given on a futon mat on the floor. Pressure & stretches are applied to meridians (energy channels) of the body. The aim is to re-establish balance & harmony in the whole body (i.e. mind, body & spirit) Both Shiatsu & Remedial Massage can be gentle & supportive, or deep & strong.

Regular treatments help you feel better physically by relaxing & easing body aches, relieving restricted movement & calming the mind.

Please phone Yvonne direct for Saturday & Monday appointments.
